Team AK's gardening

This year with key stage 2 we have taken cuttings and learnt how to graft, with key stage 1 and eyfs we have down sunflower lettuce cabbage, Chard, onions, carrots and pumpkin, as well making insect homes, we also have the skinny jean gardener visiting us later on this month as part of his school tour. Thanks for your support Stuart ( Mr Jackson)

Thanks so much Stuart for the update. Sounds as if you are really busy. Keen to hear about your Skinny Jean Gardener experience afterwards. He is so inspiring and passionate about bringing gardening into the curriculum!

Any questions for our horticulturist let us know.

Allotment update!

How is everyone getting on? Loving seeing my seeds starting to really grow on the allotment and seeing the changes every few days is amazing!

We have planted our kale, rainbow chard, broad beans, pak choi, coriander and growing in pots our courgettes, white pumpkin and onion squash. Hopefully we can plant those out in the next couple of weeks. I am worried about the wildlife munching on it though before it even has a chance!

Loving my first year with an allotment. You would never know it is in the middle of a city and is so relaxing.

How is your growing going? We would love to hear!

These look great! Hopefully they will germinate quickly in the warm weather! Look forward to seeing them grow so let us know how they get on!💚
